Police arrest suspected killers of Kano physiotherapist



The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of


 two suspected killers of a physiotherapist, Atiku Shuaibu-Ringim.

Shuaibu-Ringim, who was killed by suspected phone snatchers in Kano, was a staff of the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.

The spokesperson of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, who confirmed the arrest, said the hoodlums allegedly attacked and killed Shuaibu-Ringim on Thursday night.

Haruna said the two suspects arrested were currently helping the police with useful information that would lead to the arrest of other culprits.

“We have arrested two suspects who are currently in our custody helping us with useful information,” the police spokesman said.

He said the incident happened about 8 pm when the hoodlums attempted to forcefully snatch away his phone in the state.

The incident was said to have happened when he (the deceased) went to visit a friend around the red bricks area, along Gwarzo Road, Gwale Local Government Area of the state.

Meanwhile, the remains of the deceased had since been buried in accordance with the Islamic rites in his hometown, Ringim, the headquarters of Ringim local government area of Jigawa State.
