Adamawa resident Kama Hamahoda is said to have exposed his fiancé, Radi Ishak, to a liquid substance suspected of being acidic.
SaharaReporters learned that Radi, who is seriously ill at a hospital in the state capital, Yora, was injured in an acid bath on Sunday by Hamahoda, who said she didn't want to get married.
Hamahoda is an auto mechanic in the Song region. When
Radi explained why he suspected Hamahoda, she said: For example, he told me he wasn't married, but I found out he was lying about it.
"I confronted him about it, and in a fierce debate I told him I wouldn't marry him, so he told me that if I didn't marry him everyone would lose. Threatened.
"Shortly thereafter, my mother was burned in her room, but as before I couldn't link it to the threat of Hamahoda. Last Sunday, someone in the dark I was lying outside our premises because of a power outage when I flipped inside and poured acid on me.
