A young lady, who has yet to be identified, was reportedly discovered dead at a hotel in Makurdi, the state capital of Benue.
WB9JA MEDIA learned that the lady, who is in her late twenties, was discovered in a hotel in Makurdi's Nyiman district.
According to an eyewitness, the young lady stayed in the hotel with a man but did not make it out alive the next morning.
As of the time of this report, the circumstances surrounding her death were unknown, but sources claimed that she was killed and her private parts removed and taken away by Yahoo Plus boys for ritual purposes.
Other sources speculate that the young lady died during a sex romp with her partner.
The ugly development is disclosed in a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, SP Catherine Anene.
She said three persons had been arrested in connection with the death of the lady, adding that her private parts were not removed.
She said “no part of the deceased body was missing at the time her remains were picked from the hotel room.”
“There is a death report of a lady in a hotel but details will come from the doctors, though we didn’t see marks of violence on the body. So, the autopsy will reveal the cause of the death, she added.
“The person that died was dressed but we didn’t see marks on her body meaning there are no injuries. Three suspects were arrested in connection with this case so they will give us details. We can’t say it is a case of murder because we didn’t see marks of violence.”
