Ondo attack: Nigeria’ll not surrender to wicked people — Buhari

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Sunday, condemned the heinous killing of worshippers at the St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, Owo Kingdom, in Ondo State.
According to a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, the president said, “No matter what, this country shall never give in to evil and wicked people, and darkness will never overcome light. Nigeria will eventually win.”

The statement is titled ‘President Buhari mourns the dead, condoles with Ondo State govt and people.’

Whatsupblog9ja reports that over 25 worshippers, including children, were shot dead by suspected terrorists who opened fire during the weekly Sunday Service at the Church.

Reacting to the incident, the President noted that only fiends from the nether region could have conceived and carried out such dastardly act; affirming that eternal sorrow awaits them both on earth here, and ultimately in the hereafter
Buhari, who mourned the dead, condoled with their families, the Catholic Church, and the Government of Ondo State, charging emergency agencies to swing into action, and bring succour to the wounded.
