Kanye West has been hospitalized for what his camp is calling ‘exhaustion’ after the rapper had a tumultuous few
days.
Many reports are also suggesting that Kanye’s hospitalization is because of a mental breakdown and that he is being held for psychiatric evaluation.
However, Kanye’s publicist has said that Kanye checked himself into hospital and that he was being observed at Los Angeles hospital for ‘extreme exhaustion.’
The news of his hospitalization comes just days after Kanye went on rant about Beyonce and Jay-Z – basically calling them out for not wanting to hang with him – and him abruptly leaving the stage at his show on Sacramento, California after only performing three songs.
Needless to say, Kanye has had a rough couple of days.
In the midst of all this chaos, Kanye has also cancelled the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour, with his publicity team confirming the cancellation:
“…The remaining dates on the Saint Pablo Tour have been canceled. Tickets will be fully refunded at point of purchase,” the representative told the media.
As for wife Kim Kardashian, who is herself still recovering from her traumatic robbery in Paris in October, sources are confirming that Kim has travelled to Los Angeles to be with Kanye.
Kim was on her way to New York City, where she was scheduled to make her first public appearance since the robbery alongside her mother, Kris Jenner and sisters Kourtney and Khloe at the annual Angel Ball in NYC.
The Angel Ball is held by Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research, which aims to highlight cancer research and funding.
This year, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe’s late father, Robert Kardashian, was honoured at the event, hence them being there. However, Kim cancelled her appearance at the event to fly back to LA from New York to be with Kanye.
Kris, Kourtney and Khloe still attended the event.
It is not yet known for sure whether Kanye took himself to the hospital or whether he was taken by authorities. Apparently, the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call at 1:20 p.m from Kanye’s trainer saying that Kanye is at his house and acting erratic.
The LAPD then later confirmed that when they arrived on the scene, “the disturbance call became a medical emergency.”
We’ll have to wait and see how this story unfolds.
