Tonight Welcomes the Biggest Supermoon in 68 Years

Tonight the biggest and brightest Supermoon in 68 years will light up the skies across the
globe.
A Supermoon occurs when the sun, moon and Earth align and the moon’s orbit is the closest to Earth. It is also called a perigee moon. Supermoons usually occur every 13 months. It makes the moon appear 14% bigger and 30% brighter than usual. The last time this happened was back in 1948.
Although December brings another Supermoon, the next one of this size will only be seen in 2034 say top astrologists.
So don’t forget to look up tonight and enjoy this incredible astronomical event. If you miss it, you will have to wait a whole 18 years to see something like this again!
