Banditry: Sule gives vehicles to army

The Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, has donated three Hilux pick-up vans, 15 motorcycles and others items worth over N147m to the Nigerian Army.

He said the gesture was in view of the rising waves of banditry, killings, armed robberies, kidnappings and other criminal activities in the Toto and Nasarawa local government areas of the state.

Sule, while donating the items on Monday in Lafia, said his government was determined to address criminal elements, even in the midst of COVID-19 crisis around the world.

According to him, the items were donated to equip the newly established military camps at Kanyehu in Toto and Mararaba Udege in the Nasarawa LGA.

Sule also pledged a monthly donation of N100m towards the sustenance of the two camps.

Apart from the vans and motorcycles, other items donated by the governor included 12 hand-held radio, 10 small techno handsets and five generators.
