Ogun, Kano get new police constables

The Ogun State Police Command says 204  new constables have reported for duty at the headquarters of the command in Eleweran, Abeokuta.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, stated this in a statement on Tuesday.

The statement said the Commissioner of Police, Kenneth Ebrimson, received them on Tuesday.

“Ebrimson reminded them that every police officer is a public relations officer because their action and inaction will be viewed as that of the force in general,” the statement added.

Also in Kano, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Habu Sani, warned the new constables posted to the state command to shun corrupt practices as anyone found wanting would be booted out.

A statement by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, said the commissioner also urged them to be good ambassadors of the state and the force.
