Belgian Pro League side KRC Genk have announced the arrival of Nigeria forward Paul Onuachu for pre-season training.
Onuachu was stranded for a week in Nigeria due to travel restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
The 26-year-old left Belgium for Nigeria in May.
“Paul Onuachu and Eboue Kouassi are back in Genk after a stay in their home country – Nigeria and Ivory Coast respectively,” read a statement on the club’s website.
“Flying back from the African continent to Europe in corona times proved far from obvious,” the club added.
Onuachu linked up with Genk from Danish club FC Midtylland last summer.
He scored 10 goals and recorded two assists for the club in the 2019/2020 season.
