Ejaria set to join Reading for £3.5m

Super Eagles hopeful, Ovie Ejaria, is set to join Championship side

Reading on a £3.5m deal from Liverpool

Ejaria joined the Reds’ academy in 2014 and was promoted to the senior team in 2016, making a total of eight appearances for the club in six years, with two of those appearances coming in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old played the last two seasons on loan at the Berkshire side and is likely set to complete the switch in the coming days.

The London-born midfielder has played 55 games for Reading over the course of two loan stints, the first of which began in January 2019.

Ejaria scored three goals and provided five assists for The Royals in the 2019/20 season in 36 league appearances.

The Royals’ ability to complete the transfer had been thrown into doubt by suggestions that they were facing a transfer embargo from the EFL. However, they have recently been given the green light to sign players, starting with Ejaria.
