Police Helicopter In Controlled Safe-Landing In Bauchi, Not Crashed

 


The Nigerian Police  Bell 4295NMDA helicopter flying from Abuja to Bauchi on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 was involved in a  safe landing at  Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport in Bauchi. As reported in several sections of the media, the plane did not crash  and no crew member was injured. All six  on board, including the pilot and co-pilot, are in good condition.  Similarly, the plane, which was flown by one of the best police pilots, landed professionally and safely, with  the rear rotor slightly damaged due to landing ground obstacles. The incident happened around 7:30 pm (local time). 

 Police Chief, IGP, Usman Alcalai Baba, psc (+), NPM, fdc have commended  Police Air Wing for  professionalism in landing aircraft safely and avoiding serious flight accidents. He further stated that the Nigerian police Airwing (one fixed-wing aircraft, one quoted jet, 13 helicopters) has  a strong aviation security history  since its inception in  1972.
